NO TRUE MUSLIM should ever be allowed to enter the United States of America Armed Forces.

U.S. Officers entering the service must receive a commission from the President of the United States, and U.S. Enlisted personnel volunteer their service.

Both Armed Forces categories must be duly sworn by oath and sign a binding contractual agreement with the U.S. Government for however many years that they will serve.

All personnel solemnly swear or affirm to bear true faith and allegiance to our flag and country, and promise to obey all orders of the President of the United States and all other officers appointed over them.

No true Muslim can bear true faith and allegiance to anyone or anything else other than to Allah, His Prophet Muhammad, and the Holy Qur'an.

The following is from the Qur'an:

Surah (9:111)
Verily, Allah has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allah's Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success.

True Muslims MUST FIGHT IN ALLAH's CAUSE; KILL OTHERS, AND ARE KILLED.

That is why Major Nidal Malik Hasan would not agree to deploy to the Middle East and engage other Muslim soldiers in war or combat situation. He couldn't, because the Muslim Brotherhood knows no boundaries; it is a Global Brotherhood.

You should dig under the cover (of the Qur'an) before you have to take cover!

It is very unfortunate what has happened at Fort Hood, Texas. But don't think it won't happen anywhere else in our country by other True Muslims who may be members in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Read Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism" for a quite different take on use of words such as "Conservative" and "LIberal" (different than your use) and to explore the socialist/progressive bases of ideas like euthanasia. So, perhaps conservatives of today have little in common with those you refer to as conservatives in your comment above. Your terminology could therefore be misleading....

In the 1970s and '80s, we in mainland Britain had to encounter all kinds of Irish terrorist atrocities (eg. bombs on the London subway; I lived there then) side by side with them getting public support from politicians (eg London mayor Ken livingstone), and being given all kinds of "rights" and legitimacy; and we were able to do nothing about it. Sadly, they were mostly financed from the US, and whenever a terrorist escaped there, a judge ("liberal", no doubt) would deny extradition. It's an evil world.

During the intervening eight years, al Qaeda took a vacation, only to reconstitute themselves on 21 January 2001. Few have intellects so sublime, as to perceive the sequence of these events.

Your intellect (and quite possibly, your moral courage) is matched by that of our current President, who--after declaring success in the war in Afghanistan to be in our nation's vital interest, has yet to act on his hand-picked general's request for more troops.

I have a long way to go before I can match your appreciation of the intricacies of defense and foreign policy. These blogs are so instructive. I'm glad you can tear yourself away from Warcraft and Halo in order to share your insights with right-wing neanderthals like me.

The apologists for Hitler were the likes of Henry Ford and Prescott Bush, who did business with the Third Reich. Conservative Lothrop Stoddard, one of America's most virulent right-wing Anti-Semites and racists, traveled to Germany and was given a royal welcome (Germany's euthanasia program was modeled after that developed by American conservatives). Most conservatives were right-wing isolationists, who had to be dragged kicking and screaming into the war effort.

Let me think a second..NO.

Let's be honest. The only way we "changed the minds" of the Nazis and the Japanese in WWII was to break their will to fight. We made the cost of resisting us too high. We mandated changes in their educational system where the tenents of Nazism and Bushido were no longer instilled into their youth.

Are we doing similar things today in Iraq and Afghanistan? No, because that is no longer politically correct. Practical, effective actions be damned. We are limited to politically correct actions. That's why both Iraq and Afghanistan still have the legal right to kill apostates of Islam To be a Christian or Jew openly in either society is to invite death.

Islam is basically incompatible with a free society. So I believe we are throwing our money down a rat hole to build a sembilance of something (democracy) that is unsustainable in any Islamic culture. It's simple a manner of time before some Islamic cleric points out that democracy is against the Quran, and all the teachings of Mohammed, and lead a revolt to overthrow it.

In the words of Ann Coulter, "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."
